Galaxy is OptiShot's Next-Generation Overhead Simulator

Fox2 recently featured the new OptiShot Galaxy overhead golf simulator in one of their recent news posts. This new simulator has many updates that transform the overhead simulator experience though  many have compared Galaxy to the OptiShot Vision system.

Let’s dig down into the details. With upgraded precision, the Galaxy overhead golf simulator can perform custom ball and club fittings as well as provide accurate swing analytics. Galaxy is extremely adaptable to your club head speed. It uses high speed 3D cameras to capture images of the golf club during the swing, then uses image processing software to calculate the speed and trajectory of the club head. Once the speed of the club is measured, it can be used to calculate other important parameters like ball speed, spin rate, carry distance, and launch angle. Galaxy is unique from other simulators in that it can measure both vertical and horizontal launch angles.

As Galaxy has pushed OptiShot further ahead in the golf simulator market, we are excited to bring a new edition to overhead systems as a whole. The new software, Orion, will be implemented into this simulator and is the new standard in the recently released golf simulator hardware, BallFlight.

OptiShot Golf continues to advance the industry as a whole with releases of new technology and software and commits to golfers to remain at the top of their game. Want to stay in the know? Sign up for our newsletter at XYZ.
